Dear friends and colleagues, Welcome to the December 2022 Awesome Newsletter. FIDA-Kenya and Womankind worldwide are in a collaborative program to advance SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women. This is aimed at the prevention
and elimination of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) against women and girls and strengthening women’s leadership and women’s participation in decision-making.
The aim of the project is that women’s movements are strengthened, less fragmented, and more representative of diverse groups of women, including women with disabilities (WWD). These stronger women’s movements contribute to strong women leaders at all levels and the prevention and elimination of SGBV (Sexual and Gender-Based Violence) against women and girls.
